ABOUT STOP THE SILENCE
Stop the Silence: Stop Child Sexual Abuse is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was launched in 2002 as part of a nationwide effort to raise awareness of the prevalence of child sexual abuse (CSA).
Stop the Silence is committed to advocacy, prevention and healing with regard to child sexual abuse on an international level. We provide help and resources through awareness, education, prevention, treatment and mitigation.
Child sexual abuse is not one group’s problem; by expert accounts it is a silent pandemic throughout the United States and the world, creating havoc – for the affected children, the adult survivors, and the society.
We know that child sexual abuse can be prevented and treated with a conscious and sustained effort and that there is life and happiness past the pain and trauma of abuse. Healing and wellness can be achieved through embracing one’s past, seeking help, and speaking out.
